Changed your mind, or qualify after all?
Our story
The Forest is owned and run by Caleb and Dominique — a female veteran-owned dispensary where every patient gets treated like family.
Because that is where we are — Forest, Mississippi, county seat of Scott County, ringed by the Bienville woods. And because a forest is somewhere you go to slow down. That is the whole idea of the place.
“And Into The Forest I Go, to lose my mind and find my soul”— Anonymous
We built the inside to match: murals on the walls, living plants, curved sofas, a suit of armor, a copper sasquatch out front. Not a clinic, not a smoke shop. Somewhere you would actually want to spend a minute.
What we stand on
Every product on the shelf is grown and made in Mississippi by licensed cultivators and processors.
Nobody here earns more by selling you more. Ask us anything and get a straight answer.
We are budtenders, not doctors. We will explain products all day and leave the medicine to your practitioner.
First-timers and old hands get the same welcome and the same amount of our time.
The real place
The people
The owners — and most days, the folks behind the counter. The Forest is female veteran-owned and family-run, which is why the veteran discount is standing policy and not a promotion, and why nobody who works here earns a commission.
Our whole team is trained to explain every product on the shelf — how it is sold, what the label means, what the MMCEU math works out to. What we never do is make medical claims. That conversation belongs with your practitioner.
Rooted here
We sit at 1910 MS-35, a quarter mile south of I-20 Exit 88 in the county seat of Scott County — roughly halfway between Jackson and Meridian.
Our service area reaches 59 Mississippi towns — Forest itself included — from next-door Lake to the far ends of the I-20 corridor. Every one of them has its own drive-time page in our footer.
The Bienville forests ring the town, and the shop is built to feel like them — murals, plants, and a doorman made of solid copper.
Grown in Mississippi
Every product we sell is grown and made in-state by licensed Mississippi cultivators and processors — most of them known to us by first name.
